There are narcissists, egomaniacs, and aspiring souls who crave recognition because they’re hollow inside. There are sexual deviants. At least two men are in prison for sex crimes. I have heard allegations of at least one other man who may also represent a sexual threat to children. Our ranks include many who cannot be gathered into a community of peace of one heart and one mind (God’s Covenant People 2025).

There are women among us who have built up a facade of piety, goodwill, and unity. Yet what they seek is control, governance, and order according to their terms. They believe that God has called them to a special work and therefore they are qualified. As such, they move forward in their “work” without the spirit of the Lord. They lack the fruit thereof and when they cannot account for it, they cover their shame with blame and divine threats. These women end up protecting the pedophiles and abusers while condemning and hating those with pure hearts.

Those who claim to have wisdom are found without it, yet they don’t hesitate in calling you stupid. Those who follow them are still doing just that – following someone other than God. This will amount to nothing but damage and heartbreak.

Egos and ambitions are excused under the guise of authority and having a spiritual position of authority. In their minds, this allows them to define the precedent of how and what sacrifices are to be made among us. They truly have been given no authority and yet don’t hesitate in exacting punishment and condemnation.

Then they went out and began to preach God’s word to the people, entering their synagogues and houses; and they even preached the word in their streets. After a great deal of work, they started to see some success among the poorer class of citizens, since they were expelled from the synagogues because they looked poor due to how they were dressed. As a result, they weren’t allowed to enter their synagogues to worship God, because they were regarded as unworthy. Because they were poor, the others living in Antionum treated them like trash. So they were both poor in material possessions and poor in spirit (Alma 16:22).

We find ourselves in this situation. Women are being told to stay home and not come to conferences. Those who are poor and needy are shunned from their synagogues because they cannot physically attend conferences. Women are having judgment imparted to them to the point where they are literally being “treated like trash.” There is no regard towards the tender hearted and meek women among us. In fact, their softness of heart is condemned and regarded as a weakness that disqualifies them from being able to withstanding what is to come.

As women, setting up a system of judgment and governance is not what helps us fulfill our feminine roles. Yet those who are hollow because they reject their femininity cannot see the error of their ways. We should be comforting the poor in spirit, nurturing the weak, and protecting our children. But those who haven’t mastered these traits in their own personal relationships find themselves feeling more productive by setting themselves up for a light and a standard to others outside of that sphere. They speak many words but have nothing to show for it.

And in that day shall be heard of wars and rumors of wars, and the whole earth shall be in commotion. And men’s hearts shall fail them and shall say that Christ delays his coming until the end of the world, and the love of men shall wax cold and iniquity shall abound. And when the times of the gentiles is come in, a light shall break forth among them that sit in darkness, and it shall be the fullness of my gospel, but they receive it not, for they perceive not the light and they turn their hearts from me because of the precepts of men (T&C 31:6).

There are those among us whose hearts have grown cold. Their faith has been lost in the fulness of the gospel and so they have turned their hearts from God because of the precepts of men. They believe the teachings of man will get them to God and therefore cannot perceive the light. Their hearts are so hardened that they lack the complete self-awareness to acknowledge the severe damage they have inflicted on so many among us. They value process and procedure so much that they stop at nothing, including breaking God’s commandments – all in the name of doing God’s work. They lack the humility necessary to begin making amends and renewing trust. They will not stop until they have established their hierarchy and church, disregarding what the Lord truly requires of us.
